Tanzania music rules Kenya air waves, now they want to put Diamond Platnumz and King Kiba out of the picture

Beginning of the end?  Kenyan media to put Diamond Platnumz and King Kiba music out of the picture? Will it work? Time will tell

Nakuru based Hero Radio • 99.0 Fm @Hero_Radio has announced that “in the Spirit of Patriotism, we will start playing 90% Kenyan Music.

Out of that percentage will do 60% nationwide music and 40% Nakuru based Music. Let’s make the Music Industry Mega”

At the moment in the whole of Kenya, Tanzania music rules the day. Diamond Platnumz and Ali Kiba, The King, they are kings of music in Kenya, with no Kenyan stars to march, their take.

If the famous Hero Radio becomes bigger as a result of the move, all the other radio and TV stations will follow suit.  @Hero_Radio has borrowed a leaf from Tanzania’s Times FM, when it was started, for 3 months, they played Tanzanian music only, mostly bongo flava.  The other radio stations followed suit and the rest is history. Bongo fleva became big, and replaced Lingala which was all the rave in the region.
