Vodacom spends over Tsh120 to coordinate media mentions

Dar es Salaam, 4th July, 2012 … Leading telecommunications company,
Vodacom Tanzania, has spend more than Tsh 120million in this year’s
Sabasaba exhibitions, with the money expected to make contacts with
various media houses in Tanzania.

While addressing journalists soon after being awarded the exhibition’s
communication sponsor, Kelvin Twissa, Vodacom’s Head of Communication
and Marketing, noted that the money has been spent in news production
and general coordination communication of the media.

“This is an international exhibition and we recognize the importance
of media being present as giving as much coverage as possible. This
exhibition attracts various people from all over. Therefore the media
have a big role to keep Tanzanians informed about the on goings of
this exhibitions. That is why we have spend this much,” said Twissa,
adding that, “As the official communication sponsor, we entered in to
this partnership in order to ensure that there is sufficient media
coverage of the entire exhibition.”

Vodacom Tanzania was awarded as the official communication sponsor of
the Sabasaba exhibition, which was officially opened by Zanzibar’s
second Vice President, Amb. Saif Ali Iddy. The ten-day exhibition
attracts more than 350,000 people from various regions, and provides
an opportunity to sample and compare products on display.
