Tanzania: Peace and security, the foundation of economic growth .

Man is tormented by nature and instinct by being able to be creative in various issues in the areas of social, economic and political in development process.
Innovation is a foundation which ensures the life human being respects the sense of peace, security, love and happiness among communities in order to achieve their respective goals as a community and nation at large.

Recently Tanzanians have been witnesses of Tanzania Police Force entry into a new era of building up and collaborate with citizens to ensure that every citizen gets justice, security of life and their property with respect of the property and life of another person.

It is the primary responsibility of police to ensure Tanzanians maintain peace and security that is the capital’s number one social welfare in managing and promoting the national economy.
Goals that are possible to be reached in the police force are organized effectively through various programs in order to improve the performance of the force from national level to rural.
This reform of the force in the country have started to be implemented in two phases where in both phases intent to ensure that every citizen gets its basic rights everywhere according to his or her needs.
The first phase of enhancement in police performance started to be implemented in 2010/2011 to 2014/2015 where it has been a cornerstone of opportunity for the army to enter a new phase next launched by the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. John Pombe Joseph Magufuli recently in June 25, 2016 which will be implemented between Fiscal years 2016/2017 to 2019/2020.
In this program, President Dr. Magufuli launched Tanzania Police Force Call Center that simplify the work of police in peace keeping and speed up criminal police officers to arrive at the scene that a citizen needs help fast.
The center launched recently in Central Police Station Special Zone of Dar es salaam is the first center in Tanzania where the police force works by using Telecommunication Technology and System’s location (GPS).
Using this system, the police in the call center will be able to receive calls from citizens who report incidents of crime and then direct the police who are near to the scene to reach to the area where citizen need the help so as to strengthen and ensue peace and security for citizens.
“The intention of these reforms to the police force in the country is to ensure security, justice, peace and stability for all citizens and their property are maintained,” said President Magufuli.
Speaking to the public during the inauguration of the center, President Magufuli has commended the police force to establish the project by promising Inspector General of Police (IGP) Ernest Mangu that the government he leads will ensure backing the plan to make the force to perform its work in order to match with the most modern technologies.
In carrying out its goal of working with communities and other stakeholders, the police force has the responsibility to reduce crime and unacceptable actions in the country.

To achieve identified goal, Dr. Magufuli asked the police force to stand firm to ensure the Government is committed to citizens, including access to social services all the time and does not expect to see anyone make such promises not implemented.
Reforms in the police force are based on the requirements necessary for the army to be up to date in serving the country everywhere; currently the use of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) has been an essential element in the service of security where the police force must abide on it in order to fulfill its responsibility of prevention and control of crime in the country.
Moreover, these improvements consistent with spirit of police force to be closer to citizens and increase cooperation between them and other organs of defense and security in the world so as to be able to control the criminal acts which have no limits.
Such improvements is of more importance to citizens and the nation as a whole, the police force is accountable and consider its priorities to work in respect of professionalism and uphold the values ​​of their work, do it right for everyone, respect without oppression, deliver better service, encourage cooperation as the best team, to make everyone accountable accordingly and use of local resources.
Showing how the police force is organized in implementing practical theme of Phase Five of the Government, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Ernest Mangu said that they continue to manage and control the discipline of the soldiers at work in order to meet the expectations of citizens and their Government.
Moreover, IGP Mangu has told President Dr. Magufuli that the force has set its strategies to solve the challenges facing them including increased efficiency in dealing with crimes to establish police stations specially bestowed not keep from an area where security has improved and taken to places that crime still is a problem, be proficient closed system GPS that help to detect vehicle location in an action that makes it easy troops ever took place in areas of events criminality step which adds quality in the delivery of policing services and how to get information more quickly unlike the situation earlier.
Another strategy is to improve communication and involving citizens in providing information to the police at all time where the facility launched capable of receiving 18 calls at once from people who call the free number 111 or 112 for reporting a crime to ensure the soldiers arrive at the scene within 15 minutes.
Speaking at the launch of the program that its main goal is the abolition of the crime in the country, donors of the program, including CRDB bank which have issued more than 320 Million T Shs to build a modern facility of communication and NMB bank which have also built two transportable police station, said safety and security is the responsibility of every citizen and that without peace and security there is no activity of any social and economic potential continue.
The program of transportable police station started in the Regional Police of Kinondoni in Regional Police Special Zone Dar es salaam where the police force has set itself the goal of having them for such centers spread across the country by 2019.
In his greetings during the launch of the program Dar es Salaam Regional Commissioner Paul Makonda has urged citizens to be pro active in peace keeping in their area to set the lights out in their homes in order to reduce the darkness in a city that has been the hiding place for criminals.
The move to take the lights will be implemented effectively is one way of dealing with the reduction of crimes actions in Dar es Salaam.
Earlier, when welcoming the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, the Minister for Ministry of Home Affairs Mwigulu Nchemba said that Magufuli is a leader who lives in his words to make the police force in the country to be the modern one.
“Security is a rare commodity, when you diverge to promote safety, you avoiding assisting in promoting the national economy and an individual” emphasized Mwigulu.
Mwigulu has urged citizens to report crimes in order to prevent or stop crimes in the city of Dar es Salaam and nationwide action that lure most investors.
Additionally Mwigulu has assured safety and security for citizens who give information on crime and criminals that they will be protected in order to make Tanzania continue to be a land of peace and security for civilians and their property.
This commitment from the Government through the Police Force to promote, develop and manage the peace prevailing in the country is supported by the Chief Sheikh Mufti of Tanzania Sheikh Aboubakar Ali Zubeir commended President Dr. Magufuli is done in an effort to lead the country.
Mufti congratulated the President Magufuli for leading the country into the right directions and encouraged Tanzanians to reject actions indicating breach of the peace in the country.
“It is important to take care of our peace, the peace that we have we must honour it, when we keep our peace, we will be helping the government and we will be helping Hon. President in the defense of our peace” said Mufti.
About the nature of the crime decline in, a resident from Temeke District in Dar es Salaam Banda Sonoko said that authorities who are responsible in receiving reports of crimes and criminals from citizens who report criminals should be honest to make the army continue being loved by the citizen.
And a resident from Kinondoni district at Kumbukumbu Street Jalia Huruna said the deal is good, citizens will live more safely when their security will be assured and problem will be solved more quickly in compared to the previous situation.
In order to make this plan of the police force to be sustainable, citizens should cooperate with the force and protect the infrastructure for the benefit of future generation.
That is the reason which encouraged President Magufuli to call up on all citizens and asked them to be at the forefront in the program where the government will make sure the program will succeed and become productive to the whole country.
“I am determined to build the country with all my heart by putting God first and respect everyone, I will not discriminate people for their religion and their places, Tanzanians want their grievances to be solved” stressed the President Magufuli.
Our peace is our joy, the entire population together should stand firm deterrent to disclosure through emergency calls to police, a police station nearby and also for peacekeepers who are legally recognized, this action that will strengthen peace and distinguish Tanzania from other nations around the world.
For Tanzania to achieve its goal of being the country of the middle economy by 2025, everyone must fulfilling its duty to protect the peace in its area, both government, citizens and stakeholders to cooperate fully in the eradication of criminal acts and criminals in the country, in this aspect, Tanzania will continue to be an icon of peace in the world.
