Open Forum Davos 2012: Ten years of Inviting the Public to Shape the Debate

Davos, Switzerland, 23 January 2012 – The Open Forum Davos 2012 celebrates the 10th anniversary of the World Economic Forum’s open debate with the general public, with a programme this year that includes a timely discussion on the future of capitalism.Against a backdrop of increasing anger at the perceived failings of the current financial system, the Open Forum gives the public the chance to join in the conversation with leaders from government, business and civil society.The Open Forum runs parallel to the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting and aims to share the spirit of collaboration and constructive debate with the broadest possible audience. The sessions will be divided between a panel discussion and an open discussion with the audience. The Open Forum is held at the Swiss Alpine Mittelschule, Guggerbachstrasse 3, Davos Platz.Some of the sessions will be broadcast live by Swiss television channel SF-info.
