‘Davido’s Dream Football Show an avenue for talent discovery’

Young football talents in Nigeria and Africa in general who have been yearning for an avenue to showcase their God-given skills have been provided with a platform through which their dreams could be realized.

Three partners: the Abu Salami Media, 1XBet, and David Adeleke (Davido) have teamed up with a plan to launch a model football talent hunt programme named The Davido Dream Football Show (DDFS) – Nigeria’s Premiere Football Show.

Davido Dream Football Show is an initiative for advancing youth soccer, especially at the grassroots level through a designed curriculum that has the potential to develop fundamental technical skills and tactical awareness in young players who are committed to competing at the highest levels.

According to the Chief Executive Officer of Abu Salami Media, Abu Salami, who doubles as Chairman of the Davido Dream Football Show, the programme is aimed at empowering and supporting young male football talents within Nigeria and around Africa, players between ages 18 and 22.
Afrikings excited as Abuja training pitch wears new look Work has reached an advanced stage on there grassing of the Practice Pitch 1 of the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja, which started last month.

Afrikings Homes adopted Practice Pitch 1 with the intention of completing the job before the tenure of the current administration expires.

The ongoing work is under the Adopt-A-Pitch initiative of Sports Minister Sunday Dare and the plan is hand over to the ministry after which the company (Afrikings Homes Ltd) will be responsible for its maintenance for two years.
The company gave a promise of eight weeks to finish the work but when our correspondent visited the Moshood
Abiola Stadium, it was observedthat Afrikings might hand overthepitch aheadof the scheduled time.
