Public Relations Society of Kenya Council appoints Ms Sylvia Mudasia Mwichuli, as its first-ever Chief Executive Officer
Ms Sylvia Mudasia Mwichuli, the s first ever Chief Executive Officer of Public Relations Society of Kenya Council , effective September 2021, has expressed her joy at the new appointment.
She thanked the Council giving her a wonderful opportunity to lead an organisation whose members play a strategic role in building positive reputations for organisations, communicating results and enhancing strategic partnerships.
“I pledge to lead with integrity, focus and commitment. I look forward to partnering with all our members to grow the Society and strengthen professionalism. Members, I welcome ideas on how to move the society forward so please feel free to reach out anytime. I am here to serve you,” she noted.
The Public Relations Society of Kenya Council recently announce the appointment of Ms Sylvia as its Chief Executive Officer effective September 2021.
Ms Mwichuli is an accomplished and dynamic communication professional with over two decades of strategic communication and leadership experience, policy development, advocacy and, a strong track record in business growth and improving general organizational growth through her communication expertise.
Over the course of her career, she has held several senior executive positions; including Chief Executive Officer and Team Leader for Elea Africa, Team Leader, Policy Engagement & Communications for International Centre for Evaluation and Development. She has also served in several senior management positions for Alliance for Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA); UN Millennium Campaign (regional MDGs program run by UNDP); Agency for Cooperation in Research and Development; AMREF Kenya and ActionAid Kenya. She also served as the PRSK Council Vice President from 2014 to 2017.
Ms Mwichuli holds an Executive MBA from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT); Postgraduate Diploma in Mass Communication from the University of Nairobi; Diploma in Women in Journalism from Swedish University and Bachelor of Education Degree (Hons) – Moi University.
