*According to business mogul Ali Mfuruki, there is nothing wrong with the
document but it lacks some very essential components that makes iit
impossible to implement smoothly. Addressing REPOA’s 18th Annual Research
Workshop (ARW) in Dar es Salaam today, he said the vision lacks the
following:*
*1) *Attention to details for execution.
*2) *Accountability – the vision sets no mechanism to hold implementers
accountable for outcome
*3) *The vision does not set timelines for implementation
*4) * There are no budget figures for anything in the vision document.
There was no budget pre-assured for implementation.
The business magnate lamented that in Tanzania the capacity to execute or
implement projects has collapsed under the weight of policy overload. He
said the most urgent priority for Tanzania today should be to get the
majority populace out of poverty. He also observed that the issue of crime
and corruption was not being addressing adequately despite the fact that it
will be impossible to have inclusive development if the vices continue
being entrenched in the society
