REPOA’s Board of Directors announces the appointment of Dr. Donald Mmari as the new Executive Director for the organisation with effect from 1st January 2016.
Dr. Mmari takes over from Prof. Samuel Wangwe, whose tenure of office ends on the 31st December 2015. “We are very pleased to announce this appointment,” reported Prof. Yadon Kohi, Chairperson of the Board of Director.
“Mmari will bring different leadership, creativity, commitment and new momentum to the organisation”. He has served the organisation at various levels, during which he has built significant experience in policy research, policy dialogue, networking and resource mobilization, and institutional development.
Dr. Donald Mmari is an economist, development researcher and management consultant. He has over eighteen years of experience in research; economic and social policy analysis; institutional development; policy formulation; corporate management and strategic planning. He has worked in; inter alia, policy research areas; business and management advisory industry; academia; and financial services. He has led the teams of professionals on various assignments commissioned by the government of Tanzania, development partners, international organizations, and business enterprises. He has developed invaluable multidisciplinary skills that are relevant for institutional development, management of organizations and large projects, strategic planning, and corporate governance in public institutions.
