Dar es Salaam: As part of the visit by the “Public and Private Joint Mission for promoting Trade and
Investment to Tanzania”, the Embassy of Japan in collaboration with the Tanzania Private
Sector Foundation (TPSF), will conduct a half day seminar titled “Japanese enterprises
introduce themselves to Tanzanian partners” to be held on Saturday 30
th August, 2014 at the Dar es Salaam Serena Hotel from 10:00 am to 13:30 pm.
The seminar aims to introduce Japanese businesses to Tanzanian companies for the purpose of
promoting trade and investment to Tanzania through business partnerships. The meeting will be
opened by Mr. Hirotaka Ishihara, Parliamentary Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, who
is leading the“Public and Private Joint Mission for promoting Trade and Investment to Tanzania”
and will be attended by various Japanese and Tanzanian public organizations and private
companies interested in enhanced partnerships.
The Japanese delegation consists of 16 private companies, comprising trading houses (whose
roles are multi-faceted including consultancy, partner matching and financial facility), energy
plant firms, an information and communications technology company, a construction company,
a consultancy firm, a law firm and a mega bank, together with 9 public organizations which are
visiting Tanzania from 28 th to 30 th August. The visit comes at a time of growing interest in
Tanzania among Japanese private sector organizations
