Global and regional energy leaders are set to gather in Lagos for the 6th West Africa LPG Expo in March 2025. The two-day event will highlight liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) as a transformative energy solution for West Africa.

Jeffrey Leung, Director of LPG Expo, said:
“Building on the success of past editions, which drew over 3,000 industry professionals and 80 top speakers, this year’s event will feature over 100 local and international exhibitors showcasing innovative LPG solutions. It will also include influential conference sessions with over 50 expert speakers from government, global investors, and key industry players.”

The event is supported by the Nigeria Liquefied and Compressed Gas Association (NLCGA), Nigerian Gas Association, and the World Liquid Gas Association.

Nigeria: Leading Africa’s Clean Energy Transition

As Africa’s second-largest LPG producer, Nigeria plays a pivotal role in advancing clean energy. Through the Nigerian Energy Transition Plan, which targets net-zero emissions by 2060, the country has invested in LPG infrastructure to boost production, reduce imports, and expand access.

Neighboring countries, including Ghana, Senegal, and Ivory Coast, are also adopting LPG to meet Africa’s 2030 clean cooking goals and reduce reliance on biomass.

Spotlight on Compressed Natural Gas (CNG)

Running alongside the LPG Expo, the 2nd CNG Africa, Nigeria 2025, will spotlight Nigeria’s Presidential Compressed Natural Gas Initiative (Pi-CNG). The initiative aims to increase the number of Natural Gas Vehicles (NGVs) to 1 million by 2026, promoting the economic, environmental, and energy benefits of CNG adoption.
