The Africa Tech Festival 2024 is in full swing at Cape Town’s International Convention Centre (CTICC), showcasing a vibrant range of exhibitions that are captivating attendees. Running from November 12 to 14, the festival’s 27th edition gathers top telecom executives, innovative entrepreneurs, and key policymakers to explore how technology is reshaping industries across Africa.
Organizers describe the event as a comprehensive showcase of tech advancements across sectors like telecommunications, financial services, healthcare, government, startups, and manufacturing. This year, Africa Tech highlights the real-world impact of tech integration in driving business excellence and socio-economic development across the continent.
CTICC halls 1 to 4 are filled with global exhibition stalls, many focused on internet speed, fiber networks, cloud services, and cybersecurity, each pioneering faster connectivity and leveraging 5G and AI. Eye-catching displays—some with large interactive screens—demonstrate the latest products in telecommunications, promising the “fastest and most reliable” services worldwide with advanced voice command capabilities.
Representing African innovation, countries like Ghana, Nigeria, Angola, Cameroon, Congo, and Ethiopia have established a strong presence at the festival, while Chinese companies have also joined, showcasing their offerings in collaboration with African nations. Visitors to the event can engage with futuristic technologies through real-time, hands-on demonstrations that bring the continent’s tech future to life.
