Moroccan Cybercrime Ranks High in Global Fraud Index for 2024

According to the newly released 2024 Global Digital Fraud Index by American security firm SumSub, Moroccan hackers have been ranked as the most dangerous in North Africa, as reported by Spanish daily La Razón. Morocco leads North African countries with a rating of 3.51 points, placing it third in Africa overall, following Mauritius and Botswana.

The report details Morocco’s performance with a fraud rate score of 0.77, resource access at 1.32, government intervention at 0.58, and economic stability at 0.45.

Globally, countries with the most robust cybersecurity defenses include Singapore, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Norway, and Denmark. In the Arab world, Kuwait and Qatar lead in digital protection, ranking 18th and 19th, respectively.
