The Africa Prosperity Dialogues (APD) 2025 will take place from January 30 to February 1, 2025, at the Accra International Conference Centre, with the theme: “Delivering Africa’s Single Market through Infrastructure: Invest. Connect. Integrate.”
Organized by the Africa Prosperity Network in partnership with the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Secretariat and under the patronage of the Office of the President of Ghana, this annual summit aims to move Africa closer to achieving its goal of becoming the world’s largest single market by uniting 1.4 billion consumers across member states.
The summit is expected to attract nearly 3,000 participants, including African heads of state, industry leaders, CEOs, ministers, policymakers, thought leaders, and development partners. The key discussions will focus on how infrastructure can serve as a driving force for market integration, alongside innovative solutions to promote economic growth and shared prosperity.
Event Highlights:
Day One: January 30, 2025
The event will kick off with the Projet Afrique Exhibition, side events, and an official opening ceremony attended by international dignitaries. The day’s discussions will center around infrastructure funding, transport, and logistics to facilitate the free movement of people and goods across Africa. The opening day will conclude with a Welcome Reception at the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City in Accra.
Day Two: January 31, 2025
The summit will focus on key topics such as sustainable energy solutions, digital infrastructure, manufacturing capacity, STEM education, healthcare systems, and sustainable urban development. An open forum will allow participants to share insights on the theme, which will contribute to the summit’s outcome document, including actionable recommendations for advancing Africa’s economic integration.
Day Three: February 1, 2025
The final day will feature a High-Level Dialogue between heads of state and business leaders, leading to a Presidential Roundtable discussion on policy frameworks to enhance private sector involvement in the development of Africa’s single market. At least six heads of state have confirmed their attendance, and the day will include fireside chats on the BADEA’s US$50 billion Investment Fund, along with a dialogue with one of Africa’s prominent industrialists.
The summit will conclude with the Africa Prosperity Champions Awards and a Presidential Gala Dinner at the Kempinski Hotel, Accra. The black-tie event will celebrate individuals and organizations who have made significant contributions to Africa’s integration and prosperity, advancing the continent toward the 2063 vision of “The Africa We Want.”
