Marrakech is set to host the 3rd edition of the Africa Business Forum 2024 on November 16-17, providing a platform for collaboration among Africa, Qatar, and global partners.
Morocco’s Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch will preside over the event, with Sheikha Al-Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, President of Years of Culture, representing Qatar.
The forum will bring together 350 influential leaders from the public and private sectors, including notable participants such as Lauren Dreyer, Vice President of Starlink Business Operations at SpaceX; Roy Swan, Head of Mission Investments at the Ford Foundation; Teresa Clarke, President and CEO of Africa.com; celebrated designer and entrepreneur Ozwald Boateng; and renowned actor and businessman Idris Elba.
Under the theme “Investing in AI for Tomorrow’s Growth,” the event will explore the transformative role of artificial intelligence in unlocking Africa’s economic potential, fostering sustainable development, and enhancing communities.
Key discussions will center on innovations in AI, visionary leadership, and pathways for successful partnerships. Attendees will also examine Africa’s position in the global economy, focusing on agriculture, smart urbanization, renewable energy, and infrastructure needs inspired by Qatar’s FIFA World Cup 2022 experience.
The forum aims to strengthen South-South cooperation by driving joint initiatives in AI, technological innovation, and sustainability, paving the way for Africa’s AI-driven future.
