Dodoma: Amidst the tranquil landscapes of Kondoa in Dodoma, Regional Commissioner Hon. Rosemary Senyamule took to the podium with a powerful message for the youth. Her words were both a call to arms for a brighter future and a caution against the pitfalls of drug use.
Speaking passionately, Senyamule highlighted the Tanzanian government’s commitment to bolstering education as a pivotal step toward nation-building. She proudly announced the allocation of over 544 million shillings for the 2022/2023 academic year, dedicated to the construction of the Ntomoko Secondary School in the Haubi ward. This new institution, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, signifies not just an infrastructural enhancement but stands as a beacon of hope and opportunity for Kondoa’s younger generation.
However, amidst this backdrop of progress, Senyamule didn’t shy away from addressing a pressing concern — the increasing allure of drugs, specifically marijuana, among the youth. Drawing a stark contrast between the promising avenues the government is paving and the detrimental path that drugs can lead to, she implored the youth to make wise choices.
“We are building schools, not just as structures, but as citadels of dreams and aspirations. It’s disheartening to see our youth, with such vast potential, being ensnared by the false allure of drugs,” expressed the concerned Regional Commissioner.
Hon. Senyamule’s plea was clear — for the youth to recognize and leverage the abundant opportunities being offered by the government, led by Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassani. She hopes to see a generation that prioritizes education over addiction, ambition over short-lived thrills.
With such unwavering support and guidance from leaders like Senyamule, the future indeed seems bright for Kondoa’s youth, if they make choices that align with growth and progress.
