Airtel Africa, a major telecommunications and mobile money services provider across 14 African nations, has teamed up with three of the continent’s top artists—Fally Ipupa (Democratic Republic of Congo), Diamond Platnumz (Tanzania), and Simi (Nigeria)—to educate customers on maximizing their data bundles for an enhanced digital experience.
The partnership aims to help Airtel customers make informed decisions about their data usage habits. To achieve this, the artists have come together to create a special song, offering practical tips on how customers can optimize their data for activities such as browsing, streaming, and using essential apps.
This collaboration is part of Airtel Africa’s ongoing #SmartaWithData campaign, which focuses on educating customers about effective data management. The campaign encourages customers to GET smarter data settings, SET smarter data speeds, and GO #SmartaWithData to enjoy a more rewarding online experience.
The campaign is currently active in seven African countries: Kenya, Nigeria, Uganda, Tanzania, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Zambia, and Malawi, targeting young customers aged 18-35.
Rohit Marwha, Airtel Africa’s Chief Marketing and Sales Officer, shared, “Our goal with this campaign is to help our customers get the most out of Airtel data bundles, thereby improving their online experiences. By collaborating with these beloved artists, we ensure that our customers are not only aware of data-saving tips but can also easily integrate these hacks into their daily routines.”
He continued, “At Airtel Africa, we prioritize creating exceptional customer experiences. Through this edutainment campaign, delivered by internationally acclaimed African artists, we aim to empower our customers to have enriching online experiences, whether for business or leisure.”
The #SmartaWithData campaign encourages customers to share their own tips while offering practical advice on smarter data usage. All data bundles can be easily accessed via USSD, the Airtel Lite app, or the MyAirtel app.
