The 12th edition of the Africa Aerospace and Defence (AAD) expo is scheduled for September 18-22, 2024, at Air Force Base Waterkloof in Centurion, Gauteng. As Africa’s largest aerospace and defence exhibition and air show, AAD holds a prominent place in both South Africa’s and the continent’s defence industry calendar.

With each edition, the expo has continued to expand, drawing together major global players in the aviation, aerospace, and defence industries to showcase the latest technological innovations. The event will also serve as a platform for discussions on international defence, aerospace trends, and best practices.

The air show will feature top-tier aerial demonstrations, mobility track displays, parachute drops, aerobatic performances, and various static displays. Leading names in the aviation and defence sectors will showcase their newest and most advanced aircraft.

The AAD 2024 expo is now open for trade visitor registration. As Africa’s largest trade and air show, this year’s event is expected to attract over 30,000 trade visitors, who will have the opportunity to interact with more than 300 exhibitors from the aerospace and defence sectors.

The three-day trade exhibition will offer industry professionals ample time to network, engage, and explore the latest advancements in aerospace and defence technologies and services.

In addition to industry-specific events, the expo will feature activities and attractions for children, including a youth development programme in a dedicated pavilion. The programme will include interactive activities such as plastic model building, virtual aviation, simulators, target shooting, first-aid training, and crime scene investigation.
